Thanks for reporting this issue. I tested it immediately by myself and created a new ad unit using the plain text and code ad type. I could not replicate your issue.
Which ad type did you choose when this error appeared?

Plain text and code. If I uninstall and reinstall advance ads. Will I lose all the ads I made?

Thanks for your quick reply.
If you uninstall Advanced Ads and do not activate the checkbox “Delete data on uninstall” in Advanced Ads > Settings, all ads, groups, placements, and settings keep stored. They will be there after reinstalling Advanced Ads.
Before you do that: Do you notice any errors in your browser console when you choose this placement?
Also, you can always assign your ads or groups to placements on the placement page (Advanced Ads > Placements).

Also, I tried again to replicate your issue. When you create a new ad unit (plain text and code), you can immediately see a field for the ad code in the Ad Parameters meta box. There, you should be able to insert your ad code and save the ad.
Is this field not there?
