• I have a few people reading my blog, who I’d rather didn’t. For the most part it’s OK, but there are times I’ll need to password protect posts. I’m not sure the best way to do this.

I could password protect and have readers request the password for each post (through my contact form where I can see their ip address), I could do a subscribers only thing, or I could hide the posts from certain ips.

    What would you do?

  • If it’s really sensitive info, then best solution is don’t post it on the internets, anywhere. If it’s casual protection, I’d just go with the built-in WP password protection per-post. It seems so easy to set a PW in WP.

IP method seems tricky, anyone can go to a coffee shop.

But there is a new IP plugin out, WP-Ban.

I was thinking the same thing about the ip method. The password thing does seem to be the best way to go.
