Which Yoast SEO version is compatible to WordPress 4.9.x?

Current Yoast SEO 10.x has WordPress 5.0 as minimum.

Unfortunately due to this behaviour currently WordPress 4.9.x sites with e.g. Yoast SEO 7.9 or 5.9.3 or similar do not show/offer any updates, so it looks like those old versions would be the latest available. :-/

I think that new version 10.1 (which will be released soon) supports 4.9.x, but I’m not sure for details. We could wait answer from official support.

Yes, Yoast SEO currently supports 4.9.x. We extended this for now, since we normally support the most recent two major versions.
