Hi @cameliav
I hope you’re well today and thank you for contacting us!
The error that you are getting, along with described behavior, suggests that there’s some conflict on site – with another plugin or active theme – but it’s difficult to say with what based on that error only.
If there is any other caching and/or optimization plugin active on site currently, start with that – clear all caches and disable these other caches/asset optimization plugins and see if that changes anything.
if not, the way to identify such conflict would be a full conflict test which is basically:
– deactivating all plugins (except Hummingbird) and switching theme to Twenty Twenty-One
– checking if the issue happens
– if it doesn’t – enabling plugins one by one after each one checking for the issue until it happens again and the last enabled plugin (or the theme) would be the conflicting one.
I understand that this might be difficult to conduct in this case, especially on a live site, due to the very nature of the issue – so it might be good to setup a staging site (“cloned” version of the site on the same server) to test it there.
But I’d start with checking first for all other caches/optimization tools that might be running at the same time on site/server and trying to disable them first to see if that helps and if not (or there are no such plugins) then a full conflict test would be way to go.
Knowing about conflicting plugin we could then look into it closer to find out why it’s conflicting and how to fix it.
Kind regards,
Adam
Hello Adam,
I no longer have other cache plug-ins installed and testing compatibility with other plug-ins is difficult, because the error appears after a couple of days, for the moment I deselect the “Cache every 24 hours” function to see if the error come back after this i’ll let you know.
Ps: this is a demo site, not the main site.
Thank you for your help.
Hello @cameliav,
Sounds good. Also, as this is a demo site, what you can do is turn on debug logging and then see if the debug log files records any errors. You can learn more about debug logging here:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/#example-wp-config-php-for-debugging
Also, if the issue happens again, here is the list of things we would need:
1.PHP Version
2.WP version
3.Theme Name & Version
4.Plugin conflict test done Yes/No?
5.If you tried turning on Debug logging, the debug log files last 10 lines if generated.
Looking forward to hearing from you on it.
Thank you,
Prathamesh Palve
