  • Thanks :). So do you have FTP or Cpanel access to the files on your server? You’ll need to start by changing the name on the plugins folder:

    wp-content
         pluginsHOLD

    What theme are you using?

Hosting on bluehost with cadenza theme http://www.missioncriticalintl.org

Hmm, that theme appears to have not been updated since last November…which may or may not be an issue. Let’s start with the plugins.

Ok. I changed the file name to pluginsHOLD

Okay, so now change the name on your theme’s folder

Thanks very much for your help. I changed it to cadenzaHOLD but no change yet.

    Rats…I guess we’re onto manual updating –

When all else fails, download a fresh copy of the latest.zip file of 3.6 (top right on this page) to your computer, and use that to copy up. You may need to delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folders on your server. Read the Manual Update directions first –

    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update

Just to be sure – since BH was down a lot yesterday, your site was working okay before the update?

Yes. It was working before the update. Thanks. I will read the manual update directions and download the zip.
