• All I need to do is whitelist an IP address.

I went to Global Settings -> Lockout White List and added my client’s IP address to this list.

    I got this error:

    ——————
The directory supplied in Path to Log Files cannot be used as a valid directory. The directory /***/***/***/wp-content/uploads/ithemes-security/logs could not be created due to an unknown error. This could be due to a permissions issue.

The settings could not be saved. Please correct the error above and try again.
    ——————

I checked the permissions for this folder and it seems right (755).

Is there a way to just edit this in the database? Or is there another solution? I need to fix this ASAP because they are getting locked out every day due to Microsoft Exchange pinging the server constantly.

    Thanks!!!

  • According to the 6.9.2 Changelog:

Bug Fix: Fixed issue where saving Global Settings would be blocked by an unwritable “Path to Log Files” path when the “Log Type” is set to “Database Only”.

Please make sure to update to the latest plugin release (7.0.4).

Thanks! I updated and it seems to be working. I’ll let you know if it doesn’t.
