Just as I was thinking that Anspress was pretty much “there,” you release an update where – yet again – you’ve changed the CSS. I now have borders all over the place that weren’t there before, fonts that are all wrong, and elements that are now misaligned.

    Please just stop!

It’s not your job to provide the precise CSS. That’s for themes and users.

I see you have a donate button in the plugin. But you will never build a large community of regular users if you treat us all like this.

I really like what Anspress does, but I need to be in charge of how it looks. Now I have to decide whether to roll back to the previous version, or redo my CSS to override all your new elements, most of which, frankly, just add clutter.

If you keep this up, I will have to go elsewhere. I am very disappointed.

There are no changes in default theme from upcoming version. Theme will be released separately.

I’m sorry, but I don’t think you understand the implications of what you are doing. You provide a theme override system so that users can, well, override the default theme.

But then you add a ton of CSS from one update to another that plays havoc with the user’s theme override. What’s the point of providing a theme override system if you are going to do that?

By all means add CSS classes. That’s great. It makes it easy for the user to get things looking good. But don’t add values to those CSS classes, especially not with the !important tag.

Until you guarantee that you will not be doing this again, it makes using Anspress’s theme override system quite impossible.
