First let me say what a great plugin WP User Avatar really is. Works right out of the box and is easy to use.

The only problem I have noticed is that the avatars are not being resized to 96×96 on uploading. Instead the avatars retain their original size without being changed at all. e.g. 400×400.

How can this issue be resolved?

    Please advise.

Unfortunately, we need the full avatar size so custom resizing can be possible. Eg when displaying thumbnail via [avatar_upload]

    Hi Collins

What do you mean by “we need the full avatar size so custom resizing can be possible”?

I just tried to “Choose an Image / Upload Files / Select Files” in the “Edit User” and selected an image of 1200 x 1200 pixels.

The image was not resized to 96 x 96 pixels but was inserted in the full 1200 x 1200 pixels size.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Please help.

Can I see a screenshot of what you are describing? I mean screenshot of the image displaying in full size.

This forum does not allow uploads or attachments.

Can you give me your email address?

    Hi Collins

I was able to resolve the issue by setting the thumbnail setting in the media settings to 96×96 pixels.

Then one sees two images at the bottom of the user edit window: the original image and the thumbnail cropped to 96×96 pixels.

Thanks for your support and a great plugin.
