Looks like the request is timing out, the source website could be blocking external requests. In addition, the source URL does not appear to be a valid RSS feed: https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Frss.cbc.ca%2Flineup%2Fworld.xml
That is strange.
We are currently trying to phase out of the Hungryfeed plugin because it it no longer supported.
I placed the current Retriever code (above) right below the Hungryfeed code and that one works without a problem
[hungryfeed url="http://rss.cbc.ca/lineup/world.xml" max_items="10" feed_fields="" item_fields="title" link_item_title="0" ]
Just checked that feed and it also works on Feedly

This problem has been resolved with v1.5.1.
