Why is Video Embed code phased out?

I maintain a website for someone and she uses Sensei LMS. She wanted to add a lesson but then saw the Video Embed code field was missing. We use this in the theme to show videos with the lessons.

After digging in the code I saw that it was sorta phased out, only showing if the metadata field is already filled in or if you’re using the classic editor.

I’m curious as to why this is and what we should use instead to attach videos to a lesson.
