I use this plugin on several websites with a widget at the foot of the pages. I have provide one example but others include BeautyEscape.co.uk and A-JConstruction.co.uk. All have version 6.9.1

On all of them there was a widget displaying their Instagram Feed, but this widget has disappeared and I cannot see an option to add it back. Please can you investigate and advise?

    Thank you.

  • Hi @rodeboy,

I checked all three of the websites you mentioned and did not find any Instagram Feeds embedded on the pages. Please check your widget area editor section on each website to ensure the feed shortcode is present. It will look similar to this [instagram-feed feed=1] , though the number may differ.

If the feed shortcode is already present we may need to investigate further. Please submit a support request via the form on our website, https://smashballoon.com/support/, and include the System Info.

Thank you for looking into this Nigel. I too can see that there is no code embedded, but the point here is that there was. I updated the plugin earlier this week and suspect it removed the widget.

As an example take a look at https://web.archive.org/web/20250425225301/https://www.beautyescape.co.uk/ where you can see the widget was in place in April. I have not removed the widget and am not getting an option to add a Smash Balloon Instagram Feed widget.

    Hi @rodeboy,

Thank you for sharing the archive.org link. Yes, the issue is strange indeed. Shows that the whole widget area is gone on the current website. Even the widget title that is not connected to the Instagram feed plugin is no longer visible. In this case I would recommend adding back a new widget to replace the missing one.

It’s highly unlikely that Instagram Feed plugin somehow removed the feed shortcode and the widget title. However, if you would like us to investigate further, please submit a support request via the form on our website, https://smashballoon.com/support/, and include the Instagram Feed plugin System Info.

I sent a support request yesterday so will allow you to investigate before I add the widget back. Thanks

    HI @rodeboy,

Thank’s for update. I have replied to your support request.

For anyone else following this thread, I checked your system info but did not find any new clues to what may have caused the Instagram Feed widget to disappear. I suspect it may have been inadvertently removed while updating other widgets on the website as this is an easy mistake to make due to the absence of an explicit save function outside of the individual widgets.

Please let me know if you have questions.

    Best Regards,
