Hi @richards1052,
By default, shortcode doesn’t work in WordPress widgets as is explained here.
You might also have changed your theme or disabled any other plugins which previously made the shortcode works in the widgets.
If you still want to allow shortcodes to be executed in your WordPress widgets, you can follow these instructions.
Alternatively, we also provide a Widget Add-On that can also help you to display your feed items in a widget as is explained here.
I did install the shortcode plugin & then installed the shortcode inside the Shortcode widget as instructed. The result is still the same. The widget only displays the plaintext for the shortcode, but not the feeds.
Correction: I’ve just checked and the plugin is displaying properly in Chrome, but not in Firefox. I don’t understand why. I cleared my FF cache, still not working.
You can see it here: http://www.richardsilverstein.com in the right sidebar
Hi @richards1052,
We’ve just checked your site on Firefox and it displays normally for us here:

Could you please try again? If it still doesn’t work, what version of Firefox do you currently use and on what platform?
You’re right. Last night, even after clearing the cache, it wasn’t displaying. But this had to have something to do with caching since it’s now displaying properly in both browsers.
Thanks for following up on this. Good to know it’s working in FF as well as Chrome.
Glad to hear it’s now working for you, @richards1052 !
