    the space on the first linked site is set to a height of 280px (via some inline styles) – this seems to come directly from the script.

    however, the table inside the box seems to be influenced by some formatting from the theme;
    to overwrite this, possibly try and use (via a custom CSs plugin or in style.css of a child theme):

    .entry-content .column-last td { border: none; padding: 4px; }

    change the padding if necessary.
