Also, I checked for plugin conflicts, and the same thing happens with all other plugins deactivated.
This is what i see. http://take.ms/ec9aM How should it be?How did you configure it exactly? Please post screenshots if possible
Using both shortcode and upcoming events widget insidebar, i don’t know if that could cause troubles

Thanks for looking at it — I changed the widget to show up in the sidebar, instead of at the top of the page, so you can see the issue more clearly.
The content in this case is just “Content”, since it’s a test page. The widget is activated in the sidebar using the “Upcoming Events” widget that comes with the plugin. As you can see, the word “Content” is displayed 10 times just before the widget.
I tried using the shortcode instead of the widget, but had the same issue. I’m not using them at the same time.
I think perhaps is has something to do with the selected number of events to display in the widget (10), and somehow that’s being applied to the content of the page, also?!

Sorry, please see the link again — what you saw is exactly what I am seeing. http://www.mssyr.org/tester/

Yes, I had done that already — sorry, should’ve mentioned that.
I even deleted and re-installed the plugin. Same issue.
Well if it’s not a plugin / theme ( try with twenty fourteen ) conflict it can be only that you somehow configured it in the wrong way.
Can you take a screenshot of the widget configuration page?

Actually, it looks like a theme conflict. I had checked for plugin conflicts, but just realized I hadn’t checked for theme conflicts. When I switch to Twenty-Eleven, the problem is not there.
If the theme has a support forum, you should try to ask there as it seems to be doing something strange with the sidebar. Otherwise try to look at what the theme is doing in sidebar.php

Will check those out, thank you.
Ok, please paste here the name of your theme and the fix when you discover it
