Widget will not display

I’ve tried adding this widget to my main page and it just will not display. I’ve read some reviews and it sounds like this is a common issue? I’m running 5.7.2 so it says that it should work with this version. I’ve tried several times, with different visibilities and locations, but when I view the page source, there’s nothing.
