• Hi there,

When I want to adjust some of my widgets, I go to Appearance -> Customize -> Widgets and when I click on one of the widgets, for example Front Page 1, it looks empty (while it is not empty) and I cannot add, adjust or remove anything from there. This happened from the \moment I updated to the 5.8 version.

Also my social media icons disappeared and are now little blocks since the update.

I really hope this can be solved ASAP. Thanks in advance!

  • Hi, simoneromana, starting with WordPress version 5.8, the widgets editor is now block based.

Some sites may have issues, so in your case I would recommend that you install the Classic Widgets plugin – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/classic-widgets/ – and reach out to your theme support to alert them of the issue so that you don’t need that plugin to have the widgets working properly with the new editor.
