Will slow down your WordPress

    I first went for JetPack to regroup a bunch of functionality I had scatered through various other plugins (ex: Socialnetwork sharing, JS picture gallery, statistics, prevent brute force attacks, etc).

    I did install JetPack on 2 different website. What an error I made! Both website were so slooooow. Access time went up to 5 and to 15 seconds max. I tested with and without JetPack and the difference is astonishing. JetPack is a monster that will drag you website performence down.

    Since I went back to my old habit and my half dozen plugins (one for each things I need) the websites has gone back to normal speed even with that much plugins. Also in term of statistics JetPack is really not worth it compared to other (free) stat plugins.

    I just hope that slow down is not done on purpose because I was using the free plan. It would be a really bad move to do that, slowing down website to make you pay. Because I really didn’t needed the premium option for these website.
