Will the Plugin Work with Link Unit Ads?

    Hello,

    I’ve installed the plugin by following your excellent directions for adding the PHP code inside of the ad inserter plugin. The ads are showing perfectly.

    But I have a question: does the plugin work with Adsense link unit ads (the ad unit format with buttons that takes the user to a separate page with multiple ads to chose from)? Because this is what I primarily use on my website.

    When I click the link unit button several times to test out your plugin (I did not click any actual ads on the google ad page that the link units redirect you to), the plugin does not prevent me from clicking the link unit buttons additional times.

    Is there a way to make the link unit buttons disappear if a user clicks more than a set number of times? Or does the plugin not work with Adsense link units?

    Hi,
    not sure if link unit ads will work or not. You see it will only work for iframe based ad codes like the normal ones.

    Hi Saumya,

    Thank you for your prompt reply. To clarify, link units ads are adsense ads.

    (This is an adsense link unit for reference: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/15817?hl=en)

    The only difference is, when a user clicks a link unit ad, adsense redirects the user to a separate page that serves the actual advertisements.

    But it’s still an ad unit type that you can select when creating an ad in adsense.

    So I copied and pasted the ad code directly from adsense, added your PHP code to the ad inserter plugins, and the ads are showing properly.

    But the adsense link unit ad never disappears when clicked more than 3 times, which is the maximum I set in the plugin settings.

    Is this possible to achieve with the plugin?

    You can disregard my last reply, the plugin is working perfectly with link units ads.
