Will this work with Porfolio posts?

I’m trying to use this for Portfolio posts, and it doesn’t seem to be working properly. I’m using it on another site for regular blog posts just fine, but on a site with portfolio posts, it’s bringing them over into the custom post type, but it’s not adding the categories to the posts under that custom post type – it’s bringing them over with no category attached. Any thoughts? Thanks!
