I do not have access to your commercial directory plugin, so I am unable to troubleshoot this by reproducing it on a test site.
The correct format for html links is:
<a href="http://cubecolour.co.uk/wp" class="popup" data-height="300" data-width="300" data-scrollbars="0" alt="my link text">Link Text</a>
where is the popup link on your page?
The forum posted a link rather than the html markup as you didn’t use the code button to add the backticks that tell the forum it is sample code. Can you try posting the link markup again?

http kiwislang.attn.nz/test/
when i use your code in a post it works perfectly
would be nice if there is a way around this
Sory I dont know how to link to sites and havnt got the couple of hours to figure it out!!!
Really appreciate your help with this
You can post your link’s markup using the code button in the forum editor. press it once to add a backtick – you need one before and after the pasted code.
As I have no access to your commercial directory plugin, and the popup works as expected on posts, I have no clues as to how that plugin might be changing the output. You will need to seek support from the vendor of that plugin to find out whether the limitations can be overcome.

I have found that you can enter your code on the same page but it has to be in a text box in the side bar and then it works a treat!
