For support please create a topic from https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/simple-link-directory/ and include the PHP environment, a list of plugins you have already installed and theme name. The plugin is well tested and used by 2000+ people at least. We are sorry for the inconveniences but there must be something extraordinary in your case. We need to troubleshoot that to find a solution.
For the record – it was a conflict between the Option Tree frameworks for Lueman theme. Nothing was “wiped out” or deleted as we found out working with the user.
The issue was only with the Lueman theme and we added a workaround to it in our plugin.
On my localhost.
First time I clicked “activate” to activate the plugin, the database was wiped out and everything had to be reinstalled.
The second time I tried to activate the SLD plugin it created several errors and the database needed to be reinstalled.
The third time I activated the SLD plugin there were no errors and all seemed to be working until I clicked the plugins “Embed Link” link, in the front-end menu, which took me to a white screen both with the hueman theme and the wordpress default theme.
Support was good but I cannot recommend this plugin as I have never seen it working on my server.
Did you login with PHPMYADMIN and saw the database tables actually getting deleted? It was most likely a PHP error. There is nothing in the plugin that could wipe out database tables. You confirmed this also in your comment: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/wiped-out-my-database-2/#post-10636604 which was also incorrect. Our plugin cannot delete files. It was most assuredly just a php error.
Embed Link does not do anything from the menu. It works from the directory itself. You should have asked us how it works in comments.
