Hi @marinambm,
The large number of spam carts is most likely caused by automated crawlers or bots visiting your site. These bots often add products to the cart while scanning or indexing websites, and since WooCommerce tracks all sessions, our plugin records them as abandoned carts as well.
To help prevent this, we’ve created a detailed guide that explains how you can stop bots from being tracked:
https://www.tychesoftwares.com/docs/docs/abandoned-cart-for-woocommerce-lite/track-only-genuine-visitor-carts/
Please follow the steps mentioned there — it should help filter out these fake sessions.
Additionally, as an extra measure, you can disable the “Start tracking from Cart Page” setting in our plugin (found under WooCommerce → Abandoned Carts → Settings → General Settings).
Here’s a quick reference screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/MBRHOFC57k3
By disabling this option, the plugin will only start tracking carts once a visitor enters their email address or name, ensuring that only genuine customer carts are captured.
I hope this helps reduce the number of spam carts. Please let us know if you have any further questions — we’ll be happy to assist!
