Won’t actually edit the code.

    Anytime I edit a text string and save the changes, it reverts back to the original text string. See this video.

    I’m using it to change LEAVE A REPLY to LEAVE A REVIEW On my posts here.

    Will these changes still be in effect when I update my theme or anything like that.

    Hiya,

    Sorry to hear you’re having some issues with the plugin.

    First off, yes if you update your theme after editing it directly those changes will be lost, it’s highly recommended to create a child theme for making edits to a theme it self.

    Now, as to your problem, I’m a bit puzzled my self, as you are not receiving any notifications of success, nor failures, I would’ve expected at least one or the other.

    If you look at the Appearance menu item, do you have an Editor option there being displayed?

    Gotcha. So this plugin just makes it easy to edit the text strings.
    Yes the editor option is showing. Please advise.

    I’ve just released version 2.2.0 of the plugin, it includes better error messaging, feel free to give it a try and let me know if you are still experiencing the issues from before (I’ll mark the topic as resolved for now, but as mentioned, please do let me know if it’s not resolved for you).
