Won't create sidebar in loop-page.php

Hey guys,

I’m working on new.xpient.com with a twentyten child theme. The sidebar needs to have a text wrap around it so that the content text continues below the sidebar div at the end of it.
My editing my loop-page.php I was able to create a div for #sidebar, however even if I put <?php get_sidebar(); ?> in loop-page.php within the div, the sidebar is not getting populated.
