• I have another plugin (Open Graph Meta Tags) that creates Twitter cards for my posts. When I tweet my posts individually, they display properly as Twitter cards on my Twitter timeline. They also display properly in the Twitter card validator. (https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator) But when I use Social Media Auto Post to tweet, the tweets don’t show up as Twitter cards, but rather as plain text. Is there a way to force Social Media Auto Post to not interfere with the Twitter card plugin? Thanks.

  • If you set Attach image to twitter to No and include {PERMALINK} in message format then twitter will display preview image and details as per your twitter cards.
Make sure that your message format contain link.
Also validate your URL at https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. When I follow your instructions and include {PERMALINK} in the message format, the tweet from Social Media Auto Publish consists only of the URL in text form – no Twitter card, no image. However, when I type the URL into the Twitter validator, the Twitter card appears normally. It’s like something is blocking Twitter from seeing the page’s Twitter Card meta when I post it through SMAP. I can send screenshots if that would be helpful.

Please make sure that {PERMALINK} is not merged with the other texts, ie there is space before and after {PERMALINK} in the message format.
May be link appear broken with the text.
If no such issues, please provide screenshot or contact our support desk .
