Hi there,
Thanks for the details!
Just to better understand your setup — could you please clarify where exactly you’re using the “Brands” block and what you’re trying to achieve with it? For example, are you trying to display a list of brands on a regular page, within a product archive template, or somewhere else?
If your goal is to display a list of brands on the front end, we recommend using the available shortcodes instead of the block, as the Brands block may not behave as expected in all areas.
You can find the full shortcode reference here:

Hello and thank you for getting back with me. my attempt of this was just on a standard page not inside of the full sight, editor.
And I was simply going to display a list of either texts or the button style that is available.
It is on the homepage and the goal was to just have a strip of brands that were dynamically pulled in that someone could click to navigate to the actual brand archive.
Is this then being worked on? In other words, is this a bug as it relates to the current block? I know you guys were really pushing this new brand addition so it seems like it’s a mess unfortunately, of course it would be nice if this functioned like a loop, and you could customize the display inside.

Hi @finidev,
Thank you for your response. I completely understand your frustration and your need to get this working properly. I’ve checked internally and have an update regarding the block.
The specific brand block you’re using isn’t designed to display brands on just any page. It’s an inner widget that’s intended to work within the product block. That’s why it doesn’t show any categories when used alone on a page without a product block — this is the intended behavior.
To display brands, please use the shortcode as my colleague previously suggested, or consider using other plugins that can dynamically pull metadata.
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.
It seems we haven’t heard back from you for a while, so I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. Feel free to reach out whenever you’re ready to continue.
