    I need some help in working this out. I am setting up a page selling ‘Dog Collars’.
    The collars come in 9 colours, 6 collar sizes and 3 widths. So I have set up the following attributes: 1) Colour, 2) Width 1/2″ – Neck Size 8-12″ | Neck Size 10-16″, 3) Width 3/4″ – Neck Size 9-14″ | Neck Size 13-22″ and 4) Width 1″ – Neck Size 12-20″ | Neck Size16-28″ and have also set them up as Variable Products

    So, how do I set it up if a customer picks the following: 1) Colour – xyz, with 3) Width 3/4″ and Neck Size 13-22″ so that he will be able to add just that to his cart and not be asked to select any other option.

    If you can come up with a better way of doing it as well, I’ll always take a look.

    Just use two attributes: Colour and Width/Size.

    Colour: Red | Green | Blue | etc
    Width: Width 1/2 - Neck size 1-2 | Width 3/4 - Neck size 3-4 | etc

    Thank’s for your reply. My problem is that I need the variables for the 3 sizes. The collars come as:

    1/2″ Width with a choice of 8-12″ & 10-16″ lengths
    3/4″ Width with a choice of 9-14″ & 13-22″ lengths
    1″ Width with a choice of 12-20″ & 16-28″ lengths

    So, customer wants 1/2″ collar with a neck size of 10-16″ in one of nine colours.

    That is what I need to show in there shopping cart with out having to choose any other option.

    The only other option I have is to make a page for each collar width. I’d rather try and miss out on that option.

    Hmm, okay. Then create three attributes like this:

    Colour: Red | Green | Blue | etc
    Width: Width 1/2 | Width 3/4 | etc
    Neck Size: 1-2 | 3-4 | etc

    But don’t create all variations, only create variations that exist, like 1/2 width and 8-12 size.
