Hi achait,
1. It would help to know if there’s any specific pattern to what isn’t transferring over. For example, for the images, do you mean additional images? Currently, only the featured image from WooCommerce will sync over to the product catalog as the main product image, and vice versa. Any additional images do not currently sync, unfortunately. For the price, is it the regular or sale price? Do some have currency symbols and some no? Do any of the prices have non-numeric characters in them?
2. It is supposed to change the “Details” link to “Add to Cart”. And clicking that button does indeed instantaneously add the product to the WooCommerce shopping cart (both WooCommerc Sync and WooCommerce Checkout need to be enabled). It just doesn’t reload the page, which is why you might think nothing is happening. Once you add a product to your cart, a box should appear in the top corner of your screen to indicate this and that lets you go to the checkout page (or your cart, depending on your settings).
1) I can’t seem to find a pattern. It seems as tho some are priced blank or some are priced at very small dollar amount ($1.00, $7.00, $4.00) even though the prices are accurate in my UPC product list. no currency symbols. I do have non-numeric characters within my “Sale-price” but our items will never go on sale so i’m using that store the cost in our stores alpha code.
2) i see that now. is it possible to keep the details button there but add a “add to cart” button when a customer is viewing a particular item?
1) So, is the issue just with syncing from UPCP to WooCommerce, or the opposite, or both ways? Could you do an export of your products form UPCP and provide us with that file, so that we could load it into one of our test sites and do a test sync?
2) There is currently no option to enable an “add to cart” button on the individual product page generated by our plugin. What you could do is set the “WooCommerce Product Page” option to “Yes” (in the “WooCommerce” area of the “Options” tab), which will make it so that, when someone clicks on a product in your catalog, they are brought to the WooCommerce product page instead of the one generated by our plugin. From there they should be able to add to cart (as long as your theme hasn’t excluded that feature for some reason).
1) I have all of my products in UPCP and when i enabled syncing it didn’t do it correctly. What is the best way to send you my exported file?
2) I don’t mind using the woocommerce product page but there seems to be no way to go back to the UPCP catalog, it goes to the woocommerce page, if that makes sense.
Hi achaitman,
You can send us the spreadsheet via email to [email protected].
2) That’s a good point. We’ll add an option that puts a link back to the UPCP catalog page at the top of the WooCommerce product page when that option is selected in a future update.
