Woocommerce Attributes And Variations

I have two options for my product 18K Gold Plated and 14k Solid Gold

When customer clicks on 18K Gold Plated no option should be showned it just has to be that, no sub options.

But when customer clicks 14K solid Gold we should have Choose Diamond carot option displayed with option 0.5ct 1ct 2ct

I don’t seems to figure out how to do that has woocommerce creates variation from all attributes at once and field can’t be removed or nulled for a particular variation and attributes on variation tab

Please I need help to figure this out

Hello,

Are you managing stock per variation? If so, one way to do this is to (1) mark unavailable variations “out of stock,” and (2) go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory, and check Hide out of stock items from the catalog

Two variatiions:

Gold – 18k | 14k
Carat – None | 0.5 | 1 | 2

Then in the Variations tab create the following variations:

18k – None
14k – 0.5
14k – 1
14k – 2

That way, when the customer picks 18k it will only let them pick None om the carat option.

You can’t hide variations like that.

The other alternative would be to have two different products.

That sounds like a variable product.

@ihereira This is the concept its just like creating two option for a single products

Option 1 and Option 2

when option one is clicked no variations shows up but when option 2 is clicked variation comes up with 0.5ct, 1ct, 2ct

You can’t do that with the default variations.

There are plugins like Extra Product Options that will let you conditionally show options.
