    Hi,

I have been trying to import a few variable products with the native Woocommerce CSV importer. Whenever I import variation products from and after the products are imported I find out that the option “Used for variations” is left unchecked on the attributes tab.
I am not trying to import the variations yet, only the parent products. Any one know why the check box (Used For Variations) is always unchecked when I check the imported product?

Here is the link to the CSV file I am using: https://we.tl/t-UTWCoDZ3MR

    Thanks

Hi @wazab. Are you using the core import feature? In that case, variations and parent products are imported at the same time.

It looks like if you import variable products with no variations, the “used for variations” option is not automatically set for the attributes. I’ve logged an issue explaining this here with our developers.

As a workaround, you can import the variations along with the parent product; in that case, the setting is correctly imported

    I hope that helps!

Hi @wazab. I can confirm that this is expected behavior as explained here.

I’m going to go ahead and mark this post as resolved. Please start a new thread if you have any other questions.
