Hello,

I would like to ask for help in the following.

I haven’t updated Woocommerce yet, auto-update is turned off and this message suddenly appears:

‘woocommerce database update required …’

I don’t understand why the database needs to be updated when I didn’t update Woocommerce or the database. The Woocommerce was recently connected to a fulfillment company’s system with an API key, maybe that caused something.

What should I do, how can I make it disappear? I restored an earlier version of Woocommerce from the daily backup, but it didn’t disappear.

Unless I really have to, I won’t upgrade to Woocommerce

Hello @glmakeup,

Your WooCommerce database probably requires an update following this security release:

https://developer.woocommerce.com/2022/03/10/woocommerce-3-5-10-6-3-1-security-releases/

It should be safe to update but it’s best to do it in a staging environment. You can duplicate your site and database and perform the update without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.
