  • When you edit the product, go to the ‘Advanced’ tab.

There is a box in there called ‘Purchase Note’ – this will let you add a message to the order email when that product is bought.

    Hey @ianplay,

I’m trying to setup a way to email people when they buy individual products from our WooCommerce store. I need a custom email per product because we want to add a new product that will include a discount code, but this code will only be included when a user purchases this one item.

As @seank123 pointed out, you could add a purchase note to each of the products on your website with the relevant information to send to your customers once they’ve placed an order.

If you need more control over the look at contents of the email your customers receive then you might want to look into an extension such as AutomateWoo which lets you create workflows that could send a custom email to a user after they purchase a specific product.

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.
