Hi, I posted a problem with my site about a month ago. At that time my Theme support and Host support were helping me with it and you closed the topic. You said to open a new one if I was still having problems. They helped me with some of the problems but now I’m besieged with errors. They checked the Theme and the WP installation and couldn’t find anything wrong.

I’m designing a WP site with Elementor and WooCommerce on a Chrome browser and WIN 10 machine. The Elementor problems seemed to have stopped, but I’m getting errors with Woo that sometimes are fatal and kick me out of the site and that also mention Elementor. The last time this happened I was just duplicating a product in Woo to make a new one. I sometimes get an error even when going into my Media Files, or they won’t load at all. The errors seem to indicate I have a database problem.

I was able to complete most of the design and add most of my products before these errors got really bad. I’d hate to have to do the design over if I have to reinstall. Re-adding the products wouldn’t be as much of a problem, but a redesign would mean weeks of work to re-do. If I reinstall either Elementor or Woo will I lose my work?

I have switched to a default theme and deactivated each plugin, but I can’t determine which plugin is causing the errors because they come intermittently. I have pages of errors I could show you, but I wasn’t sure if I should put them here or you had a way I could upload them.

Hi there,

The errors will be helpful yes, as well as steps for how to recreate them. If you have pages of errors, and they are repeating, copy-paste an excerpt of each.

When you did the conflict test, did you deactivate 1 plugin at a time? The proper way to conflict test would be to deactivate all the plugins, except for WooCommerce, and swap out your theme to a standard theme – all at the same time. Then from there reactivate the theme, and the other plugins, one by one, testing after each small step. Our How to conflict test doc details that process.

It would also be helpful to see your System Status Report. Be sure to redact sensitive information before pasting it here though. To find it, go to WooCommerce » Status, select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Then paste it here in your response.

When I did the conflict test I did deactivate all of my plugins and theme at the same time, but when I would reactivate each plugin I could not duplicate the errors. I also should mention that one time when I tried to add a new product the whole product page opened with errors at the top and on the left side. I didn’t take a picture. It was a bit overwhelming. But when I trashed the page and tried to add a product again, it worked fine.

Thanks for the extra details. Your System Status Report seems to indicate you’re in good shape generally.

A few things, that should be tended to; your PHP version is the minimum supported (7.2) so might need updating in the future, and you should get SSL sorted for your site to serve it over HTTPS instead of HTTP.

Your theme overrides a great many of the WooCommerce templates, which could become an area of potential conflicts, especially if you’re theme doesn’t update inline with WooCommerce.

However, the Fatal Errors and Error Details you posted seem to lay the blame at the feet of Elementor. Reach out to Elementor’s support to get that sorted. One you resolved the Elelmentor issues, if the errors persist, post details of the new errors for a closer look.
