Hi there!
I understand you want to use Geolocation feature with MaxMind API key. Out of the box, you should see these options on that field:

Do you have any plugin or custom code that can affect the fields and hide Geolocate option?
Could you share a copy of your site’s System Status Report with us?
You’ll find it at the top of the page under WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support (after you scroll down a bit). Once you have the System Status Report file, please send it with your reply.

Hi @jaak69
From what I understand, you’ve successfully added the MaxMind Geolocation API key, but you only see the “Geolocation (with caching support)” option in your WooCommerce settings. You wish to have the “Geolocation” option available so that you can switch the catalog mode on/off based on the user’s country using a script in the function.php file.
Since this is not a default behavior of WooCommerce, this could result from a plugin or theme conflict. We suggest following these steps to eliminate the conflict:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront.
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce.
- Repeat the action that is causing the issue.
If the problem does not persist after completing the conflict test, it indicates that the conflict was with the deactivated plugins and/or theme. To identify the specific plugin causing the conflict, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each activation, until you pinpoint the one causing the conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation of conducting a conflict test here.
Additionally, did you set up MaxMind Geolocation through the WooCommerce settings or use the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency with WPML plugin?
Please let us know how it goes after doing the conflict testing. We look forward to your response, and rest assured; we’re committed to helping you resolve this issue.
Thanks!

Hello,
- Installed and activated Storefront theme
- Deactivated all plugins except Woocommerce
Unfortunately Geolocation choise didn’t come back.

That’s really odd.
Have you made sure that you have the latest WooCommerce version?
Also, please make sure if your site hosting provider has server side caching, or any kind of caching on network level, please disable it.
Let me know how it goes!

Hello,
Especially dumb problem. This was WooCommerce translation misunderstanding. The “Geolocation (with caching support)” was translated as direct translation – Geolokeeri (lehe vahemälu toega)., but the item Geolocation was translated as “Geographical address” (Estonian -> Geograafiline aadress).
Hi @jaak69!
This was WooCommerce translation misunderstanding.
Oh I see! I am glad that the issue was actually just a misunderstanding. Thank you for the update 🙂
