    Hi guys,

    i have a website i am designing for a customer and they sell roses, I’m cool with creating variable products, but i have a dilemma.

    They sell Bare root roses for ‘X’ amount of time of the year, then they sell the rose containerised for the rest of the year. Is there an easy way for me to setup/or know of a plugin where i can set this up without having to manually change all 300 products every 6 months?

    For example they want to sell Bare Root roses when its bare root season, but also take “pre-orders” on the same rose for containerised, and then at the end of the season the products swap so the containerised becomes default and the bare root becomes the pre-order?

    Just wanted some advice on the best way to achieve this as 300 products is a lot of work to go in and manually change everything even if it is only every 6 months.

    Thanks in advance!

  • There may be other ways to do so, but the first thing that comes to mind is to use the csv export and import function, and then make block cut and paste changes to the spreadsheet and re-import it.

    Technically you are changing all 300 products every 6 months, but it should be just a few mouse clicks to do it.

    @rossit2016,

    I’m not aware of any plugin that will do this for you. @sweigold’s suggestion is probably your best bet unless you want to hire a developer to build something for you.

    I’m going to mark this as resolved now as we haven’t heard back from you in a while. If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
