WooCommerce Image issues

This problem is really weird.

I recently wanted to change a product image.
I wanted to resize it via WP and it worked. However the new size wasn’t really good so I decided to reupload the original image.

Now here’s where the problems started.
After uploading the new image and adding it as a product image the result was no image at all. I checked the link and saw that it was still linking to the older resized imaged eventhough i deleted the image from the library.

I tried everything. Reuploading and renaming the images completely. tried the plugin “regenerate thumbnails”. I also installed cache plugins but none of them had something like “clear cache”.

When I upload an image and click on it in the productpage it does show the correct image.

Any help is appreciated.

AD: I also copy/pasted the productpage PHP from the woocommerce templates
