Hi there!
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing such detailed and thoughtful feedback — we truly appreciate your insight on this matter.
Yes, you are right, In order to get access to stats and push notifications for new orders and connected to your site you need to relies on Jetpack. You can read more about how to do this here.
The primary reason for this dependency is that Jetpack provides a secure and stable infrastructure (via WordPress.com) for enabling remote features like push notifications and syncing store data to the mobile app — especially in hosting environments where standard REST API access may be limited or blocked.
We understand your concern about relying on a third-party plugin and agree that offering a more independent, Jetpack-free integration could benefit many store owners — especially those who prefer a minimal plugin stack or have specific privacy/server requirements.
While there isn’t currently a Jetpack-independent option for full mobile app integration (particularly for push notifications), your request is absolutely valid.
I’d recommend submitting your suggestion as a feature request to our development team here:

This is the best place to propose new ideas and improvements. Our product team regularly reviews submissions there to help shape the future direction of WooCommerce based on community feedback.
Hi
I agree with Shakoor’s observations about Jetpack. Looking through the WooCommerce code there are now so many references to things like the Jetpack connection manager, I wonder if I need to go to each of my clients and ask them to modify their sites’ privacy policy to make reference to sending customer data to third-party servers in the USA? It feels like there’s “stuff” going on behind the scenes regarding customer data that we’re not aware of. Some clients have customer lists that are sensitive (medical), and we 100% cannot have those data flowing through servers that we’re unaware of (for legal and ethical reasons).
In addition to potential data privacy issues, I worry about site performance with all this Jetpack bloat being built-in to WooCommerce now. If we could define a constant in wp-config.php that said something like…
const WC_JETPACK_DISABLED = true;
…the autoloader could skip over all the Jetpack files and avoid making outgoing API calls (and potentially slowing down site access).

Hello WooCommerce Team,
Thank you very much for your detailed response and explanation regarding the current reliance on Jetpack for mobile app integration.
However, we must emphasize that this dependency on Jetpack presents significant challenges and frustrations for a large portion of the WooCommerce user base.
Many users, especially those who prefer minimal plugin setups, self-hosted environments, or have strict privacy and server restrictions, find this reliance unacceptable. It severely limits their ability to fully utilize essential WooCommerce mobile app features such as real-time push notifications and accurate sales tracking.
This issue was first raised over two years ago, yet we have seen no meaningful progress or response from WooCommerce regarding this critical matter. How can a global platform as prominent as WooCommerce allow such a fundamental feature to remain tethered to a third-party service, forcing users to depend on external plugins like Jetpack?
We strongly urge the WooCommerce development team to urgently prioritize the creation of an independent, Jetpack-free solution for mobile app integration.
This is no longer a mere convenience but a vital necessity for countless store owners worldwide who demand a seamless, secure, and fully functional mobile app experience without mandatory reliance on third-party services.
We, alongside a significant portion of the WooCommerce community, insist that this issue be escalated immediately within your product roadmap.
We will also be submitting this as a formal feature request via your feature request platform, and encourage all affected users to support this initiative.
Thank you for taking our concerns seriously. We expect to see substantial progress on this matter in the near future.
Best regards,
[ SHAKOOR ]

— as well as widespread conversations on platforms like Reddit, clearly shows that many WooCommerce users are frustrated — and in some cases, even discouraged — by the current Jetpack dependency. There is a strong demand for a more independent, Jetpack-free integration.
This is not an isolated concern but a recurring pain point that affects a large portion of the WooCommerce community.
I truly hope this matter is taken seriously and that resources will be allocated to explore alternative solutions that offer more flexibility and transparency.
Thank you once again for your time and support.
