This sounds like a conflict issue.
If you test with only MailPoet active, and a default theme like Twenty Twenty, do you still see the same issue? We have a guide for conflict testing available here:

In order to avoid affecting your live site and visitors, you can set up a staging site to do the testing. If you don’t have one already, your hosting company might offer one as part of your package. Alternatively, you can use a free plugin like WP Staging for quickly creating a new test site.
If you still see the same issue with only MailPoet and Twenty Twenty active (and everything updated to the latest version), then please let us know!!

Hello,
I tested this on the staging. I activated the Twenty Twenty theme, but the problem persists. I even tested the Mailpoet on a fresh system, without third-party plugins, but the problem exists there too.
