I’ve got a few messages when I visit the site that says:

Site Overloaded – This site has exhausted its connections to the database. (image here: https://snipboard.io/q5uUg2.jpg)

I spoke with the hosting provider and they said this is due to commenting, but when i checked the site, there were no spam comments at all (we disabled any form of commenting).

When i checked the web file manager, it shows that the WooCommerce comments / order notes are the problem. (https://snipboard.io/xS3wld.jpg) We are using a few WC extensions; subscriptions, stripe.

Does anyone know how i can avoid these comments overloading the server? perhaps any completed/old orders have comments deleted automatically?

    Thanks for your help

Thank you @prwordpressorg ive tried most of those suggestions. Except for the cache plugin which annoyingly isnt possible because the hosting provider doesnt allow it ( i guess they do it on their side).

I’ll see if there’s anything else on that list I can do still

    Hi,

    This is odd.

As the next troubleshooting step, please switch the site theme to Storefront temporarily, and then disable all plugins except WooCommerce. You can see again if the issue persists, if not, it means a conflict is affecting the site normal behavior, and you can then switch back your theme to the original one, and then reactivate the rest of the plugins (checking again, gradually after each plugin reactivation), until you find the culprit. You can refer to our documentation: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

If that does not work, please share a copy of your site’s System Status: It can be found under WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.

    Cheers.
