Basically, when i don’t have inserted my postal code into the fieldbox, it appears the following error: “A shipping method has not been selected. Please confirm your address, or contact us if you need help.”
After that, i add the postal code, my page does refresh and continues appearing the message above as i said. If i press checkout button, this message disapperar.
I’m using flexible shipping version free to set the weights of my WooCommerce. Can be some problem related to flexible shipping plugin?
Thanks for reaching out, and apologies for the delay. We have seen a recent influx of support requests and are currently working through a backlog.
I have gone to your site and I am unable to replicate the issue as the error A shipping method has not been selected. Please confirm your address, or contact us if you need help is not being displayed once entering the postal code:
Have you managed to resolve this since creating this thread, or are you seeing something different on your end?
If this is not being displayed on your end, please can you try clearing your browser cache, or otherwise view your site in private/incognito mode, and see if this makes any difference, as this could be the cause of caching.
I have attempted various methods to fix this issue, but unfortunately and i haven’t been able to find a solution. I have also tried cleaning the cache and using private/incognito mode, but that hasn’t worked either.
We don’t have an exact timeline for when the team will investigate or resolve the issue, as bug reports are prioritized based on a few criteria. I suggest you subscribe to the report to receive updates.
As a workaround, you can use a quotation mark ’ instead of a '. :)
Some time has passed since I submitted my report. I’ve received feedback from a few clients who are unable to make purchases due to an issue with the postal code.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?
Apologies for the confusion here. It appears that my colleague was indeed referring to a separate report.
I tried replicating the issue you describe above on my staging site and could not do so.
If I exclude the post code I get the error as you describe, however when I add the post code there is an AJAX call that refreshes the shipping rates which are returned correctly.
This leads me to suspect that this is an issue caused by something on your site, most likely a conflict, so I suggest that you try the following test.
Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and a simple flat rate shipping method.
Test to see if the issue has been resolved.
If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.
If doing this on your live site is not possible, can you create a duplicate site? We suggest using WP Staging (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-staging/) if your hosting provider does not offer a staging server as an option.
I hope that helps you to figure it out. Feel free to get back to us if you have further questions.
