Hi there,
When you say “Square Payment Failed ” – you mean https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/woocommerce-square/ – correct?
If you are not running the latest version of WooCommerce Square, you should update to the most recent version. Do take a prior backup before updating any component.
The error in general is a generic message to inform you that communication between Square and your store was erroneous.
We have had incidents in the past where 3D secure did fail for some shops.
Some of customers are getting failed payment response
Could you check the affected orders and see if there is any additional notes with more error information. If yes, what does it say?
Kind regards,
Thanks for help, issue solved on updating the plugin.
I have one more query if you can help please. While saving card for future use, can customer’s billing name is saved as Nickname for that card?
Hi @trakesh16
There are payment getaways that allow customers to save a card as nickname, but it looks like WooCommerce Square doesn’t offer that feature.

If you’d like a clear answer, you can open a new thread here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce-square/
Hi,
Some users are still complaining that after pressing Place Order, it stuck in continuous loop, but others are able to place order via square. What can be the reason?
Also earlier square processed payment even if phone number was not valid but now it gives error:
Square Payment Failed (Status code INVALID_VALUE: Provided value for phone_number is invalid.) Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.
So is it added in new version of square?
Hi @trakesh16
