I am Using Woocommerce as my sync setting. As of yesterday when I try and add a variation to a product with multiple attributes it will not sync over to square. Products with single attributes are still syncing correctly.

    Hi there!

I can understand your concern, Unlike WooCommerce, Square does not support multiple attributes. If you would like to sync multiple attributes from WooCommerce to Square, consider combining attributes into one product variation – for example, instead of a “color” attribute and a “size” attribute (e.g. black or blue and small or large), combine the two in your product variations (e.g. black-small, black-large, blue-small, blue-large), like we explain here https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/faq/#section-5

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for responding, is there a workaround for this issue I’m facing other than creating all new products?

    Hi @wilfredraeker ,

Thanks for following up! I totally get how frustrating this can be when you’re working with multiple attributes.

Right now, the best workaround is to combine those attributes into a single product variation. For example, instead of setting them up separately as “black” and “small”, you’d create a combined variation like “black-small”, “blue-large”, and so on. I know it’s a bit of extra setup, but it helps Square read the product structure correctly.

If you’ve already created your products, you’ll need to update the variations to reflect that combined format and then run a manual sync to push the changes over to Square.

You can do that using the steps here: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/sync-settings/#manually-sync-products-between-woocommerce-and-square

Let me know if this helps clear things up!

    Square is requesting the following:

    1. Please provide a case/ticket # from the Partner(WordPress). (required)
    2. Provide me with all the troubleshooting that you have done alongside with word-press so far in the case wee need to file a ticket from our end too.(required)
    3. Any and all error messages/codes showing from your end.
    4. A brief explanation to why WordPress  believes the error to be a Square issue. (required)

Square is requesting a ticket number. I am very confused why I am having this issue now. Products with multiple attributes have been syncing over to square perfectly for the past 2 years and suddenly a couple weeks ago they will not.

    Hello wilfredraeker,

    Thank you for your reply.

Please share a few product links so I can better understand your product configuration. That will help me assist you more effectively.

You can also share the link to this thread with Square support, as this forum does not generate ticket numbers.

Looking forward to your response. 🙂

    Best regards.

    Product Links with multiple attributes:

    https://waypointanglersupply.com/product/z-man-jack-hammer/

These products are good examples of when adding a new variation the new variation shows up on the Woo side, but will not sync over to square.

    Thank you

When I created a new variation and try to sync this is what comes up:

“Unable to fetch inventory: Product not synced with Square. Please mark product as un-synced and save, then synced again.”

I un-synced and saved and then synced again multiple times but it still wont work, but the existing variations will fetch stock from square perfectly.

    Hello wilfredraeker,

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked this product and noticed it uses two attributes: Size and Color.
To improve compatibility, I recommend combining these into a single variation. For example, instead of separate “Color” and “Size” attributes, use combined variations like black-small, black-large, blue-small, and blue-large.

For more information, please refer to this documentation:
    https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-square/sync-settings/#section-26

When I created a new variation and try to sync this is what comes up:
“Unable to fetch inventory: Product not synced with Square. Please mark product as un-synced and save, then synced again.”

Could you share the product link with me so I can check this product as well?

Looking forward to your response. 🙂
