    Hello,

I have noticed many times and i think woocommerce should improve this.

I have one variable product. it has two attributes, sizes and number of pieces.
Now each size doesn’t have all the number of pieces. So now when I select the size, it dependently shows the number of pieces and on selecting number of pieces, i am unable to see other sizes.

Look at the attached video : https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/39103230?key=3a66d8eb3b62c48e770a14d7b08130ed

Please let me know how to resolve this? because ideally user should be able to select size irrespective of number of pieces.

    Hi there!

I completely understand your concern. This is actually the default behavior in WooCommerce. When a user selects the number of pieces (for example, 28), only the sizes that are available with 28 pieces will appear. Similarly, if a user selects a size, only the number of pieces available for that size will be shown — which is exactly what you’re seeing on your site.

However, if you’d like all sizes to appear regardless of the number of pieces selected, you’ll need to create a variation for every size with every number of pieces.

For example, if you want the “Small” size to still show when 28 pieces are selected, you’ll need to add a variation that includes “Small” with 28 pieces. You can then mark that variation as Out of Stock if it’s not actually available.

I hope this clarifies the situation! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your response. But I don’t want to create variation. so I am applying custom script which helps me to achieve what I want. because if you refer this website https://rforrabbit.com/products/feather-baby-diapers?variant=43902016323801 regardless of technology, this should be the ideal way. I think woocommerce needs to improve this.
Needs to work on some areas. Otherwise we as a developer will find one or the other way to achieve what we want.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @riyaseasternts,

It’s great to hear you’re applying a custom script to make it work the way you prefer, that’s exactly the kind of adaptability WooCommerce is built for.

If you’d like to see this behavior supported natively in future versions, feel free to submit a feature request here:

If it gathers enough interest, our team may consider adding it to the roadmap.
