As soon as I try and change the color of a word it no longer displays.

    eg.
We would like to include a photo perhaps showing the <span style=”color: #ff6600;”>owner</span> in their establishment. A cell phone shot would be fine as long as it’s in high resolution and in good lighting.

Comes out as (the word owner is missing).

If I try and change the color of the whole sentence then nothing will appear. Not sure if this is related to my problem yesterday.

Also, when I bold some text, it appears OK in the preview but does not change when live?

    What am I doing wrong?

I just tried again and now it all seems to be working. Really weird. Is there some timing issue or something to do with previews vs updates?

    Hey Mulligan!

This sounds like something is up with the span element and your theme setup – not something directly related to the plugin.

I recommend not wrapping things in spans – try a different tag (or, better yet, use CSS instead of inline styling.)

Unless it is a normal WordPress issue, there is nothing different with how Previews, etc, work on Testimonials than on Posts or Pages or any other content type, really.

I recommend using a tool like Firebug, inspecting your website’s output, and using that to determine what combination of things is hiding the content that is wrapped in spans.

    Best,
    Richard

    Thanks Richard.
It’s the WP Editor that’s inserting the spans automatically.
I will have to find a work around within my limited knowledge.

I will give firebug a try.

    Hey Mulligan –

I hope you’ve gotten everything worked out!

As we determined this issue was outside of the plugin I will mark it resolved.

    Best of luck!
    Richard
