• I am trying to update a plugin (Memberpress) on this staging site but WordFence blocks me:

    A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site

    Your access to this service has been limited. (HTTP response code 403)

    If you think you have been blocked in error, contact the owner of this site for assistance.Block Technical DataBlock Reason:A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this siteTime:Mon, 3 Feb 2025 12:07:58 GMT

    I disabled WordFence and still the same result!

    I deleted WordFence and flushed all caches – still the same result!!

    How is this possible?? Please help!!

    Hi @zignar

    If our plugin has been deactivated on this site then it can’t be the cause on this site. It very likely means that you have another site in the same hosting account and the Wordfence firewall on that site is now incorrectly running on this site too.

    Thanks, that makes some sense, as this installation runs on a subdomain to the main domain running WordFence.

    Is there any way/setting where I can restrict WordFence so it does not run on subdomains?
    My installations normally run a live + staging & development subdomains.
