Wordfence Caching causing Charset problems

    Enabling either Basic Caching or Wordfence Falcon Engine causes pages to display to visitors with non-standard (& unintended) characters.

    e.g. ‘ converts to ’

    When caching is disabled the text displays as expected.

    Versions:
    Wordpress 3.9
    Wordfence 5.0.6 (problem also present in 5.0.5)

    LayerSlider WP 5.0.2
    MailChimp 1.4.1
    Post Types Order 1.6.8
