Hi @mac2025,
Thank you for reaching out. You can review what was changed by logging into Wordfence Central. Select the Configuration tab and click the Details icon next to a site with Local Changes. In the Template Actions drop-down, select Review Changes. It will show a list of changes.
If you can send a screenshot of the listed changes, it will help confirm if those changes are due to formatting differences of the data, or if something is really out of sync. Please email that to and your account username/email to wftest @ wordfence . com. Please put your forum username in the subject line and respond here when you’ve sent it so that we can look for the message.
Thanks,
Margaret
Thank you Margaret, I’ve replied via email
Thank you, Dan
Hi @mac2025,
Thank you for sending that information. Are any of your sites set to Learning Mode in Wordfence > Firewall?
Please try forcing the templates to sync and let us know if the issue continues. You can do this by going to Templates in Wordfence Central and selecting Manage next to one of your templates. On the template page, click Sync All Assigned Sites and then click Force Apply Template.
Thanks,
Margaret
Some of the websites are in learning mode, but most of them are not (been running WordFence for several years on some of the websites). I have tried the “Force Apply Template” which does set them to “In Sync” but they do return to “Local Changes” within the day.
Thanks, Dan
Hi @mac2025,
Thanks for trying that. We don’t recommend using Learning Mode for an extended period of time, and want to ensure that this isn’t interfering with the template syncing. If possible, please ensure the template has the firewall set to Enabled and Protecting in Basic Firewall Options and try syncing the template again. If any sites list Local Changes again, please check them and ensure the firewall is set to Enabled and Protecting on those sites.
If some of your sites need to use Learning Mode for now, please recreate the test template and ensure Enabled and Protecting is selected for the firewall in the Basic Firewall Options of the template. Then apply it to one site that will have the firewall set to Enabled and Protecting.
Please let us know how it goes!
Thanks,
Margaret
