Wordfence Scan failures

    I have tried to scan my site in wordfence and cannot complete a scan. I have tried the additional tips on how to get through the scan, but nothing has worked.

    please help

    There was no error code. I had tried four times all unsuccessful. The scans would just stop.

    The scan was performed shortly after updating some of the plugins wordfence flagged before I started. Maybe I didnt give it enough time after updating?? It’s the only thing I can think of because the following day, I tried a new scan and it completed. It found no issues.

    This happened before, tried to scan: unsuccessful. Tried different settings: unsuccessful. Scared on a different day: completed with no issue.

    This makes me wonder about the integrity of my site?

    Hi @ben226bjk9ftp5 ,

    If you could do the following steps for me:

    • Go to the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page
    • In the “Debugging Options” section check the circle “Enable debugging mode”
    • Click to “Save Changes”.
    • CANCEL any current scan and start a NEW scan
    • Copy the last 20 lines from the Log (click the “Show Log” link) or so of the activity log once the scan finishes and paste them in this post.

    Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostic > Debugging Screenshot

    This will help me see exactly what is happening when the scan fails.
    Additionally, please send a diagnostic report to[email protected]. You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

    My Wordfence installation has not successfully completed a scan in months. It usually completes the server state and file changes tasks. In every case the scan fails during the malware scan. The latest failure shows that the scan stopped after examining 37575 of 51267 URLs.

    I have tried all the suggestions that are posted in this forum. So far, nothing has worked. Please help.
