Wordfence scanning failed

whenever I tried scanning my site, It get terminated with an error message i.e. “Scan terminated with error: The Wordfence scanning servers are currently unavailable. This may be for maintenance or a temporary outage. If this still occurs in an hour, please contact support. [404]”. Please help.

Hi @deshdeepak01,

If you could do the following steps for me:
- Go to the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page
- In the “Debugging Options” section check the circle “Enable debugging mode”
- Click to “Save Changes”.
- CANCEL any current scan and start a NEW scan
- Copy the last 20 lines from the Log (click the “Show Log” link) or so of the activity log once the scan finishes and paste them in this post.

In addition to that information here, can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

NOTE: It should look as follows – Screenshot of Tools > Diagnostic > Send by Email

I’ve followed every step but the result is again the same: ‘Scanning terminated’.

Scan Failed
The scan has failed to start. This is often because the site either cannot make outbound requests or is blocked from connecting to itself.

Hi @deshdeepak01,

I can’t see a diagnostic report with your forum username attached as per the instructions in the second part of my message. If you follow those, I should be able to see if there are any communication issues that need to be solved between your site and our servers.

@ytcpaul, please as per the forum guidelines could you start a new topic containing the information you’ve provided above. If you also follow the instructions above to send a diagnostic report and let us know in the new topic if you have sent it.

Forum topics need to concentrate on issues for one user as the solutions may not be the same and can be hard to follow for both customers as to the correct solution for their case.
