Wordfence Security Plugin – Firewall Diabled
-
For the 3rd time in one week I’ve found the premium version of this plug-in’s firewall disabled with the following message:
We were unable to write to ~/wp-content/wflogs/ which the WAF uses for storage. Please update permissions on the parent directory so the web server can write to it.
Both times previously I contacted my ISP Netfirms and they reset the permissions and the firewall was back up and enabled. The first time, 2 of my other sites (one using a free version and one using a premium version of the plug-in) had the same problem, but the firewall on those sites have not had an issue since. All WP, the plug-ins, and themes are up-to-date.
Just wondering if other people are having the same issue, and whether it is in fact the ISP’s issue?
Thanks in advance, Mike
